Hi Doctor Mintz, My Son Had A Spinal Tap 2

Hi Doctor Mintz, My son had a spinal tap 2 weeks ago as they were making sure he did not have meningitis, however he has gone through the normal symptoms of massive headache, nausea and incredible pain. the headache has subsided, the nausea has subsided but now he muscle spasms, which seems to be occurring often. My questions are is this normal? How long will he expect to keep this up? Due to the spasms and his weariness with headaches and nausea he is not confident to return to school.
