Hi, Dr. First Time User Of This So I'm Not

Hi, Dr. First time user of this so I'm not quite sure how it works but I'm just going to ask the question I need an answer for as clearly as possible. My question is, I have severe scoliosis as well as bulging discs in my lower back. I am as of right now prescribed Oxycodone 15 mg every 4-6 hours as needed & for breakthrough pain VimovoDR 375-20 mg tablets twice daily as needed. I do not like the way the Vimovo make me feel. I get very upset stomach along with severe cramping feeling in my stomach. I also cannot tell a bit of relief from this medication. I always take with food as directed. Sometimes I will get nosebleeds as well after taking this med. What would you suggest for a good Instant Relief medication to go with my Oxycodone 15 mg? (Keep in mind I am almost sure I will be receiving 30 mg of these as I have had trouble controlling my chronic pain with just one tablet at a time). I feel like I might need something pretty strong & very rapid release for immediate relief as the breakthrough pain is VERY severe & almost crippling, & can last anywhere from 30 minutes to 3 hours. Have support groups & forums that I look at to kind of keep in mind I'm not alone & to also learn & keep up with latest information. I have seen alot if suggestions/info about something called hydromorphone(sp?) & oxymorphone? Another I seen alot of was Oxy IR. Which is what I'm taking now but without the IR. Would it even be possible to take Oxycodone as my long-lasting med with the IR as my breakthrough? Need help ASAP! Cannot call doctor as they are closed for 2 weeks due to moving locations. Please Help!!!!!
