Hi, I Am 25 Years Old And Yesterday I Got

Hi, I am 25 years old and yesterday I got my ear wax removed for the first time in my life. It was a very painful experience. The doctor used the Curette, and took out the wax in one go and it was painful especially during the last bit of the removal. I felt more pain in my left ear. The amount of wax wasn't that significant but it was looking rather black.
When I got home I still experienced some ear pain in my left ear, I also felt like there is some sort of fluid inside, I tried to swipe it gently, just to see what it is, and blood came out. I then took a painkiller and went to sleep, woke up the next day with blood on my pillow.
I was wondering if this is only a scratch that the doctor has made to my ear canal and is normal? And was it a painful procedure because the wax was impacted for a long time?
Thank you.
