Hi! I Have A Quick Question About Birth Control. I

Hi! I have a quick question about birth control. I have been on Vestura, a generic version of Yaz, for 6 years. I've always been very good about taking it at my 11pm time before I go to bed every night. Occasionally I forget, but if that happens I always take it right when I wake up, and I don't recall ever missing several in a row, especially before my boyfriend visits. My boyfriend and I usually use condoms, but the other night we decided to not use one and he finished inside of me. It was day 5 of my new pack after having my period, and I hadn't missed any of those beginning pills. I still have some paranoia even though my friends say the whole point of being on birth control is that you don't need to use other back up protection unless you really mess it up. Could I get some more insight on that? Is it okay if he finishes in me if I am good about taking my pill and have never had any problems with it?
