Hi, I Have Had Itching On My Scrotum On And

I have had itching on my scrotum on and off for about 6 months now and you can imagine it is getting annoying.

First time it happened last summer after shaving this area. I thought it was a shave burn or something. It was really intense. I applied some creams like Sudocrem which helped a bit but it hasn't really stopped yet. The skin is not dry at all, if I scratch it hard a wet rash appears and it gets swollen. It doesn't look different (inflamed, rash or anything like that) when it is itching.

I sense pretty sharp itchiness ,especially in the mornings and evenings. I was suspicious about jock itch since I am pretty active and summer was very hot.

I also have eczema in the back of my knee. I got steroid creams for it and it helps me with flare ups. I have scheduled immunology tests, but it will be in two months from now.

Anyway, last time I visited doctor with this problem, she said I should get used to it and that it is a form of dermatisis and that it was not caused by bacteria (I had applied Canesten on it before visiting the doctor.). She prescribed me Afloderm and it helped but only while I was using it.

Any idea please?
