Hi! I Stopped Taking My Birth Control Pills For About

Hi! I stopped taking my birth control pills for about a month and then started a new pack when the other one was finished. I got my period as scheduled on the first pack that I never finished taking and when it ended I started the new pack that I picked up and I'm due for my period but haven't gotten it yet. Is it common to get my period late because I stopped taking my birth control pills for a month?
