Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi. I'm 48 years old and am diligent about annual mammograms and exams. Last week, I got the dreaded callback stating "architectural distortion"on the left breast. That's the extent of what my physician will communicate to me. I demanded copies of prior mammograms and I see they state "density may be hiding small masses". What the heck, why didn't they call me back if they couldn't everything for years! I was never told. Should I be terrified now? I've googled that architectural distortion can accompany cancer. The mammo says no visible mass or calcifications. Of course, they called me on Friday and I am a wreck.
