Hi,
I'm recovering and rebuilding after lower back injury. I've several slipped and herniated discs. I've had 3 outpatient surgeries where nerves were burned. I feel much better, and in my 7th week of physical therapy. I recently returned to swimming. I'm 6'3" 336lbs. I was 425lbs. I lost all the weight by swimming 3 times a day.
My question is since I returned to swimming. I get extremely depleted. Nauseous, some what dizzy, weak about 20 minutes afterwards, extremely hungry. Yes, I am a type 2 diabetic. I was told by a friend to drink a high protein shake before swimming. Is this good advice, or do you suggest something else?
