Hi! My husband and I are native american and use the Indian Health Service....his blood sugar is extremely high. Today we went to an IHS clinic, different from our usual, as we recently relocated to a new state. So the dr today prescribed him, Metformin 500 mg twice a day and Glipizide 5 mg once a day....he was taking Metformin 500 twice a day with pioglitazone 30 mg once a day ....should he continue the piolitazone and start the glipizide?
