Hi . My Husband Has Congestive Heart Failure (enlarged Heart

Hi . My husband has congestive heart failure (enlarged heart and leaking valve), type II diabetes and a non-functioning (dead) thyroid. He has been hospitalized three times this year for the following symptoms that we do not believe are associated with his heart condition. His rectum is numb and has been since surgery last August when he was over-dosed with anesthesia when his pacemaker/defibulator was changed out. He has just recently started experiencing severe panic attacks, shortness of breath, short-term memory loss, confusion, anxiety and constipation. He is also experiencing swelling of the ankles, dehydration and fluid retention. Tests have ruled out blood clots in the legs and lungs. Dr's say that both look good and nothing is wrong but none can explain why he has such a shortness of breath and no energy to hardly get out of bed. Walking just short distances cause him to have severe bouts of shortness of breath which lead to the panic attacks. What could be happening?
