Hi! This is like an ob/gym type of question. I currently do not have a gynecologist, I'm working on getting one. I was wondering if my menstrual cycle can cause irritation around my vagina and clitoris? I finished my period about 7 or 8 days ago. About 4 days ago, my vagina started itching a bit. 2 days go it has moved outward into my clitoris, but not on my "vagina lips". I have rubbed/scratched/itched at it a bit, so I am not sure if the slight redness to my clitoris and the patch of skin around my vagina is from irritation or from my attempts to relieve the itch. The very inside of the vagina/vagina opening is itchy as well. The reason I ask if my menstrual cycle can cause this is because ever since my actual period ended, and the itchyness started, when I wipe after using the bathroom there is a brownish color coming off on the toilet tissue, much like there is after my period ends. I don't know if age and stuff matters but I am 16, and am sexualy active with my boyfriend, who has only had one other partner before me, and he was MY first. He has been tested multiple times, and has been clean, so I have NOT been tested.
