Hi, I Had A Fissure, And Was On The Topical

Hi, i had a fissure, and was on the topical cream to relax the muscle, am still on it, but i believe it is better as no pain on BM and no bleeding. i still have the sentinal pile. is it okay to just leave the sentinal pile be? or is it necessary to have surgery to remove it? one site i was on said that you can tie dental floss around it at home! and it will fall off. my doc told me that rubber banding hemorroids is not done as it is too painful. is the sentinal pile different than a hemor? and can it really be tied off or rubber banded?
