Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi my husband is on lisinopril 20/25mg 1 a day. Metformin hcl 1000mg 1 tab 2xs a day, atorvastatin 10 mg 1 time a day and lantus solostar pen 15 units daily. He suffers from ulceration of the foot. Before Christmas he was off his meds for a week or so then started again. After that he had developed intermittent groin to knee pain and sometimes just knee pains and sometimes just groin pains. His side of his foot by pinky toe joint is irritated but he think thats from a bandage he had on that irritated his foot. He has also woke up in middle of night this past week with leg cramps. He is drinking lots of water. This happened a little bit before Christmas too...could it be the atorvastatin? Could the atorvastatin also have caused neuropathy in his foot in addition to the diabetes? Any other ideas?
