Hi My Name Is Dave, My Wife Just Got Her

Hi my name is Dave, my wife just got her pet scan results back and we learned that it has spread to her right lung and her bones. She already had s spot on her left lung and it was in her blood. We already overcame breast cancer she had a double mastectomy about 3 years ago and went thru chemo and we thought we were clear and cancer free up till about 4 months ago when after a routine check up showed the cancer had returned. She is 43 and had worked in the medical field her whole life and was really really shaken by the pet scan results as I was. I guess my question is.. Is this as dire as it seems? I have 2 daughters 13 and 15 who know she has cancer but not the fact that it's spreading. I feel a we need to have a family meeting if the prognosis is not a lengthy one. Can you please tell me your opinion on this please?
