Hi My Name Is Julie, I'm Asking A Question About

Hi my name is Julie, I'm asking a question about my dad. He has recently had blood tests for anaemia and of which ate haemoglobin 9 but too much iron in his blood. He is now in hospital and tomorrow will be having an iron transplant/infusion. I'm very confused why if too much would they be giving him more?. I have tried talking to a junior doctor and his nurse re above but get no explanation. I soo confused and I will be on my dads GP surgery crack of dawn tomorrow. Can u enlighten me a little pls, is it just lack of communication as u told the paramedic and the ambulance crew on route to hospital. Thankyou
