Hi My Sister Was Prescribed Neurontin 300 Mg Three Times

Hi my sister was prescribed neurontin 300 mg three times a day for residual pain from an outbreak of shingles. She is 70 years old. I see her being cloudy, she has trouble following conversation and is sleepy but seems to be able to do everyday tasks. I think this dose is crazy. Can you comment on this dose and if titration off can be done easily. She called the doctor and she said just start taking 300 mg twice a day instead. Ugh. I think this is still a crazy dose. Thank you.
