Hi My Son Ha Had A Ringworm On His Left

Hi my son ha had a ringworm on his left wrist for 9 days now and being treated with rx medication.the past few days he has developed a fever off 101.9. Took him to urgent care he got checked for strep but came back negative. I caught him with his hand in his mouth several times that's very close to the ringworm, his throat is reds And glands swollen is it possible it's because of the ringworm in case he licked it and affected his throat?
