High BP And Diabetes. Pain Infusion Pump Inserted With No Effective Results. Remedy?

Yes please. I am a 54 yr. old woman with extremely high blood pressure and diabetes that is basically uncontrollable due to my pancreas being 100% calciumfied. In 2006 a pain management dr put a pain infusion pump inside me. He attempted the 3 day trial on 3 different occasions and NEVER got it to work, yet he implanted in me anyway. Then it overdosed me and I had him remove the morphine permanently and he put saline in it for he refused to remove it as I requested. Then I heard about a Medtronic recall on these devices and contacted him and he told me that mine was not included, that was in 2009. My health continues to worsen seriously, I constantly end up in ICU and in critical care. I am on my 2nd pacemaker. About 1 month ago a friend of mine had my Medtronic card and researched it and discovered that the model # on my pump was the very 1st # recalled in 2009 due to battery defect. Well approx. 7 months ago my alarmwas going off so I sent to his office and his nurse told me that my batteries were dead and it was time to replace it and she turned it off. It is still going off today. I called and told them I wanted them to schedule me to have it removed, now they have called me back and informed me that the hospital he works out of is no longer doing procedures so they are sending their pump patients to a dr in Dallas--only he does not accept my insurance and...I will have to pay cash to get this pump now removed. I am not stupid, a hospital no longer doing procedures? REALLY??? So I called the hospital and inquired, and of course they thought I was an idiot! Of course they are doing procedures, THAT IS WHAT HOSPITALS DO!!! I am on disability and this pump is literally killing me a little more each and every day. I have false teeth, yet all I taste is metal. The bottom parts of my legs kill me and now the pump is literally drawing into a cramp and you can see my stomach move, like you can see a baby moving. I am DESPERATE, and I am also lost for no other dr wants to remove it. Would you have ANY advice that you could offer me at all? I am at the point that I am even willing to allow a dr to teach those in school on me, but I don't know how to go about that either. I have 3 daughters and 7 grand-daughters and I can't even enjoy my family. Thank you for your time, and for ANY advice that you may can offer me, I appreciate it more than you could EVER know. Thank you so much and have a very blessed night. Cindy A. Hilzer

HI
Thank for choosing HCM, I just gave answered to a question similar to yours, requesting you to go through on public forum, still for your satisfaction, here I am saying that the implanting pump infusion inside your body is totally invasive procedure and we do not practice it here in Indian, at least in our state, there are lots another means for managing the pain, why not to follow that, go to see very competent neurosurgeon this device has to be removed with expert hand only.

Diabetologist Dr. Pratap VGM's  Response
Dear sir/madam

Insulin infusion device is associated with needle blocks, which causes blockage in the insulin delivery. so one needs to look out for the signs of needle blocks and watch out.

Thanks
