High Glucose Serum Levels. Pre-diabetic State?

I have a glucose serum of 104 (high) result on my blood work, I m 32 5 6 137lbs. According to other websites this is considered to be in the pre-diabetic range in a fasting state. Is this true and if so shouldn t my doctor have contacted me about this. Nothing was mentioned on the cover sheet besides low Vit D which I was already expecting especially during the winter months. I have no other health problems.

Hi Welcome to Health care magic forum. A fasting blood glucose level according to the site you have seen represent the pre diabetic range, and it could be an error also as it is a minor increase. So it is not a major health problem, it is to be estimated again to evaluate the condition with out loading with sweets prior night.
If it is at this level also not much of importance, and P.P glucose level is to be found on that it decided. if that is normal, and fasting level is 105only diet controle and exercise will do to combate the rise.
If you want a clear idea about this you can consult an endocrinologist for confermation or exclsion of the disease.
Besides i advise you some diet recommendations as controle the intake of sweets, potato and other tubers, and flushy fruits like banana, guva, etc.
Wishing for a clean chit about diabetis and thanks for calling.
