High Sugar Level, Pregnant. Complications For Child?
Hi Sir, I am diabetic at my age 27 and delivered a first healthy baby with proper control of sugars before and during pregnecy(at 29yrs I delivered first babcy). Today I found positive results when I check my Pregency test .From past 6 months I am not in control of Diabetes and today when I checked sugar level was 380.Do I get any complications in the child? I am yet to consult the gynec and Diabetologist .My Email id : YYYY@YYYY
You are uncontrolled Diabetes and pregnant,you know your diabetes in not in good controll high blood sugar is detrimental to many parts of body more so in pregnancy as some times who are not diabetic develop diabetes during pregnancy called Gestational Diabetes so you should take of your diabetes not only during pregnancy but lifelong,as there are many complications of diabetes.
There is ceratinly more risk as compared to nondiabetic to Fetus so take care.
In pregnancy control of sugar level must be tight so take Insulin with the advise of Endocrinologist/Physician, report pregnancy to Gynaecologist to for ante natal care.
Take care of your diet and follow regular exercise as advised.
Keep your Hemoglobin level to normal take Vitamin and Iron suppliments as advised by Gynaecologist regularly.
