History Of Abortion. Heavy Bleeding. TVS Scan Shows Residuals. Do Not Want Surgery. Any Medicine To Flush Residual?

Hi, I have undergone abortion with pills on 24/10/2013 because of my baby's heart beat was not found. My LMP was July 17th 2013.

After the abortion i took a scan on 4/11/2013 which says there is no residuals left out. After 1 week around 11/11/2013 i have started bleeding heavily. My doctor suggested me to take another TVS scan. Which showed the residuals are there. Now she suggested to undergo D&C. I am afraid of the surgery. Will there be any medicine which will flush out the remaining residuals from the uterus or is there any other less complicated procedure than D&C. This is my first pregency and my age is of 26 yrs. Please help me.

It is important to undergo dilatation and curretage(d&c) for retained product of conceptus. There is no medical line of management, d&c is a safe procedure in the hands of experienced obstetricians.

Take care
