History Of Sinusitis. Have Fluid In Ears, Sore Throat, Swollen Neck Glands, Ear Pain. Can Amoxicillin Be Taken?

Hi,
I went to my doctors last tuesday as I have been feeling unwell and have a history of sinusitis which I am under ent for,she Told me that i have fluid in my ears due to my eustachian tubes being blocked did not want to prescribe antibiotics my throat is now also sore and my glands are up in my neck with intermittent ear pain,I have tried decongestant s although my ears do not feel blocked, I do have some antibiotics at home a 5 day course of 250mg amoxicillin is it worth me taking these? Thankyou

Hi,
From history it seems that you are having active infection in your throat and ear.
You may require one antibiotic medicine course.
You can take Amoxiciline 250 mg capsules for 5 days but it is advisable to consult your doctor and then take.
Ok and take.
