History Of Thyroid Removal. Taken Actos For Diabetes. Feeling Tired, Moody. Any Ideas?

I had my thyroid removed in 2000 due to papillary nodule. Started on synthroid allergic placed on armour thyroid. Did fine until diagnosed with diabetes Oct 2012. Had a previous reaction to metformin placed on Actos and Januvia. Got blood sugar down with diet Januvia was causing depression changed to Onglyza same reaction changed to Metformin ER. Started causing Armour thyroid to intensify making me hyperthyroid. Tried regular metformin. Same reaction. Discontinued metformin. Still take Actos. 1/2 of 15 mg mid day. Armour still sensitive but not as bad. Take Vit D3 and a Tums calcium and that calms me down. Blood sugar is staying in 120's. I am also using cinnamon 1000 mg. just feel tired and moody after taking Actos. Then I take my second dose of Armour and that perks me up. DHEA helps and also taking Vitamin B Complex and iron in a blood support mix. Does the insulin sensitizing effect of Actos sensitize my cells to Armour thyroid also. Hyper and hard to think in the am but by afternoon and evening I m okay. Hard to live this way. I am allergic to sulfa so cannot take a whole group of diabetes meds. Tried to go without Actos but I appear to need it. Used to have energy now I don't. Any ideas

Hello.Depression and feeling tired are not common side effects of antidiabetic drugs you have taken;however a low level of thyroid hormones in blood may be the cause of these symptoms. After thyroid removal, thyroid hormone levels decrease sharply and althought you are taking thyroid hormone by mouth may not be enough. You must go to your doctor for measurement of thyroid hormones and if the result is normal, consider other pathologies that cause depression and feeling tired.
I wish you good health.
