Hit Nose Bridge On Edge Of Swimming Pool. Blood Discharged. Have Dark Blood In Spits. Remedy?
I hit the bridge of my nose on the edge of the swimming pool while swimming up to the surface two days ago. There is a cut on the bridge now, and blood poured out of my nostrils for about ten minutes, then it stopped. I felt and still feel fine - there was never any dizziness, faintness, difficulty breathing through my nose (once the bleeding stopped), etc. I still feel fine, but I am spitting up dark blood in small amounts here and there..mostly in the mornings.

hi.. thanks for using HCM.. you have injured your nose and there is a bleeding from the nose.. there could be a nasal bone fracture, which needs to be diagnosed by X ray and surgical management by ENT surgeon.. you must have injured the arteries in the posterior part of nostril, that is bleeding in the pharynx and your spitint the blood.. if you have heavy bleeding you need nasal packing for this..along with hemostatic drugs like ethamsylate and vitamin C supplements.. all the very best..
