Hives Throughout The Body For 2 Weeks. Taking Steroids And Benadryl. What Kind Of Medicine Will Help?
My husband has been breaking out with a very severe case of hives for 2 weeks now. Covering his whole body. He has been to our primary dr several times...still has not referred us to a specialist. He is on a steroid med and benedryl. Nothing helps. These hives are huge welts on his body. We even went to the emergency room but nothing they can do. No changes in our household, detergents, soaps etc. We are at a loss here. Any help or advice??
Hi, It seems that you might be having some allergy, either external or internal. Due to passing worms can produce these allergic lesions. Go for anti-helminth tablet course. A course of antibiotic like erythromicin empirically will help. Taper down the dose of steroid. Take Cetrizine or Levo-cetrizine once or twice a day. Try to find out the allergen. Avoid deo, perfumes, soaps or talc. Wear cotton wears. Rule out possibilities of biting mosquito, bed bugs Ok and take care.
