Hole In The Heart, Advised Open Heart Surgery, Bad Chest Pain, Vomitting, On Medicines For Blood Thining. Suggestions?

Hi my boyfriend is 17, he has a hole in his heart , also two of his valvs dont work properly, his doctor has told him that he needs open heart sugery when he is of age so they can replace the valvs with pigs valvs as they are much stronger and insert a plug. However, recently he has been having really bad chest pains, he says its a sharp pain through his chest that lasts from 2-5minutes sometimes. Hes having them at least once a day. Also he is throwing up at least three times a morning and last thing at night, i was wondering if this had anything to do with his heart condition and how to stop it. Hes rearly ill and he takes a tablet a day to thin his blood , he attends the gym once a day, plays football and is very fit. What is this all about?
