How Accurate Is The Pcr RNA Test
Hi. I had unprotected sex 24 days ago. I had pcr RNA qualitative test at 16 days with result of not detected.
On day 18 a rash appeared on left side of stomach and the last two days I had a mild fever.
I am really anxious and I am having the duo test in the next two days. How accurate is the pcr RNA test?

HIV RNA PCR test details are as follows
Works from: at least 7-10 days after unprotected sex.
Accuracy: 99.89% accurate for HIV 1&2
If there’s a chance you may have caught HIV in the last couple of weeks and you want to know for sure, you can request a PCR RNA test at certain clinics. They are more expensive and complicated than regular tests so aren’t offered by all clinics.
