How An Elevated Bilirubin Levels In An Infant Be Treated?

My son is now 1 month 4 days old.. he was born preterm at 35 weeks...after birth his bilirubin level was 22 and had undergone phototherepy for the same.. his bilirubin level is at 11.2 at present...Doctor has prescribed Phenobarbitone Gardenal syrup for 5 days.. Pls advise
