How Are Keppra And Tegretol Taken In The Same Day?

keppra and tegretol, are taken together twice a day, at 10 am and 10pm. if a couple of alcoholic drinks are taken in the evening, can the 10 pm dose be taken later than 10 pm, and if so, how much later than 10 om can the medication be taken? Also should the next morning dose be prolonged as well?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

These both should not be taken together. They can increase side effects interval is few days between them, but you can’t stop these meds.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Sunny Madar, General & Family Physician
