How Are Nasal Polyps Usually Treated?

My son saw the dr today and said he has a nasal polyp which is prominent completely blocking the left nostril. He is 3 years old. We have an appt to see an ENT Specialist, what will he suggest as the treatment/surgery. I know you can use steriod sprays but due to his age I believe he is too young. I would like to get some more information about what is going to happen.
