How Are Recurrent Pilonidal Cysts On The Knee Treated?
Hi, I think I m prone to these cysts as once one goes another one comes. I m so ashamed as I have been left with great big scars in my legs. Last year I got operated on for a pinolional abcess (ingrowing hair) on the bottom of my spine (bum crack). Even the one that got operated in keeps coming back, I m getting so fed up as I cannot find anything to keep them gone and can no longer carry on with having them. They get so sore that I physically cannot move parts of my body where they are. Any suggestions? Thanks
* Pilonidal cyst appearance at the knee is an unusual presentation, instead the sebaceous cyst can be best predicted for a recurrent lesion at this site.
* There can be partial resection during previous surgery or recurrence from the adjacent sebaceous gland opening blockage.
MRI of the concerned area is strongly recommended at this juncture for best possible tissue architecture and details.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
