How Can a Painful Lump On The Arm Be Treated?

I just found a lump on my arm halfway between my elbow and armour. It s painful to touch. Two weeks ago, I had been to an acupuncturist and there was pain in that arm where the needles were during and a week later. It may be related. Could it be a clot?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted the history and understood the concerns.
The painful and tender lump in between elbow and wrist on forearm one week after acupuncture can not be related as a clot or hematoma develops immediately on puncture.
Hence this may most probably be due to an abscess.
I would advise you the following in such a situation:
Consult your Doctor, preferably a General Surgeon for clinical examination to get a clinical diagnosis and get the lump removed or lanced.
Antibiotics and anti-inflammatory to be taken.
