How Can fever And Cold In A 4 Year Old Boy Be Treated?

I took my 4 year old daughter to a general physician as she was suffering from cold and fever, he said it was viral and gave her prescription of Fevago DS and Maxtra, he did not prescribe antibiotics, the fever seems to be going off slowly, its now 5 days, but the cold doesnt seem to be subsiding as much, should we continue Maxtra, the doctor has written it for twice a day, 5 ml in the morning and 5 ml at night with of course fevago DS 5 mL 3 times a day

Hello,

Some viral infection in children took more than 5 days to get better. I think you should continue for 7 to 10 days the treatment. Then if the symptoms go further take another visit by the physician.

In cold and fever help the warm tee, warm soup and some C vitamin. Fast recovery.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
