How Can pain And Numbness In The Hands Be Treated?
I have pain, numbness, stiffness and swelling in my hand, fingers, elbows, and upper arms! I take flare ups at times it don t happen all the time, but it is getting worse! I am noticing that I am getting more stiff when I walk or move! I am afraid that I may have RA! What do you think! I am only 39 years old!
You are recommended to visit ER, get physically examined & get all investigations done. Get evaluated to know what is the factor causing you such discomfort. Your treatment will depend upon the severity of the illness & the pathology causing it.
In the meantime take multivitamins with B6, B12, folic acid & minerals (zinc, magnesium, calcium). Do regular exercises & hand exercises, stay away from addictions if any, take home made food.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K,
