Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have a bad cough. I get rid of it for a week or two but it keeps coming back. It has been going on since about November late. I also have some fever, aches and pains, like the flu. I have been told that I had bronchitis and been through rounds of meds. It s back again. The cough this time sounds like a pig squeal. It s really bad and hurts.
The long duration cough can be due to bronchitis. I suggest you investigate with chest X-ray and spirometry for further work up.
If difficulty in breathing present than ipratropium bromidebronchodilator prescribed. If your cough wet than Ambroxol containing syrup can be prescribed.
Take one tsp turmeric powder with milk daily. You can revert back with reports to guide you further. I suggest you consult a pulmonologist for detailed chest evaluation.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Parth Goswami, General & Family Physician
