How Can severe Diarrhea Be Treated?

I have been having diarrhea for some time now. I have absolutely no cramping, no weight loss, no bleeding, no symptoms of any kind that I know of. It doesn t seem to be caused by any specific food, can eat nearly anything most of the time, spicy, mild. It just seems to occur periodically then my go away for weeks and hen reoccur. Can this be IBSD?

Hi,

As per your query you are having symptoms of diarrhea which seem to be due to electrolyte imbalance, poor digestion, improper metabolism, gastroenteritis, food poisoning, irritable bowel syndrome, and could be lactose intolerance.

Need not to worry. I would suggest you consult a gastroenterologist for proper examination. The doctor may order a stool test, ultrasound, endoscopy along with that take history. The doctor may prescribe laxative, ornidazole or albendazole along with ranitidine. You should eat light and non-spicy, avoid food like seafood and nuts, take an antacid after every meal and keep your head elevated while lying down. You should avoid intake of outside food. Ciplox TZ along with meftal spas is the right medication combination for you.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
