How Can severe Jaw Pain Be Treated?

i have been having jaw pain for a couple of months. I have been to a dentist to check it out, but teeth are fine. Also have been to ear, nose , throat dr. to check it out, but all is fine. Still having pain in left jaw bone. What else could cause this pain?

Hi..
Thanks for the query..

If you have pain in jaw and all your teeth are fine then my advise to you is to consult an Oral Surgeon and get evaluated for other common causes for jaw pain like jaw joint dysfunction that is TMJ or TMD.
Other cause can be nerve related pain like Trigeminal Neuralgia..
A full mouth x ray like Panoromic x ray can help in ruling out jaw joint related problem while MRI is commonly needed for ruling out Neuralgic pain..
An appropriate treatment can be initiated only after a proper confirmation of diagnosis, so it is must for you to proceed for investigations..
For now take painkillers like Ibuprofen or opoid analgesics like Tramadol for severe pain..
