How Can severe Rapid Heart Rate Be Treated?

i HAVE NEVER HAD A FIB, I WENT IN FOR A PROCEDURE AND THEY INJECTED ME WITH SOMETHING TO NUMB MY ARM FOR SURGERY, AS SOON AS THEY PUT THE NEEDLE IN MY HEART BEAT RAXCED TO 150 A MINUTE THEY GOT IT UNDER CONTROL AND NOW HAVE ME ON A ELIQUIS AND CARDIZAM, i AM SLUGGESH i AM SHORT OF BREATH AND i AM LIGHT HEADED. i DO NOT FEEL LIKE i NEED THESE MEDS i FEEL IT WAS A REACTION TO WHATEVER DRUG THEY WERE USING BUT I CONTINUE TO HEAR ABOUT BLOOD CLOTS, WHICH i HAVE NEVER HAD IN MY LIFE IS THIS CORRECT OR DO i NEED TO SEE ANOTHER DOCTOR?

Hello,

Tachycardia can occur due to the effect of anesthesia. You have not mentioned the type of surgery you have undergone. Generally, it is not necessary to continue with Eliquis and Diltiazem unless you are under a risk of developing clots or tachycardia which can happen after a heart surgery or hip surgery.

In any case you should discuss this with your physician before stopping any of the medicines.
