My husband was seen due to stomach pains (gas build up but sharp) this is been going on for about two weeks when he was seen. all test and xrays came back showing no infection or anything of the nature. He was told to rest and prescribe medication. He is still having some discomfort not shooting pain. He doesn t have an appetite.

Hello,

It might be due to gastritis secondary to acid reflux.

As of now, you can take antacids like Omeprazole or Pantoprazole for symptomatic relief.

If symptoms persist you can consult a gastroenterologist and get evaluated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
