How Can strep Throat And Tonsil Be Treated?

My son has strep throat and now his tonsil on the right side is bleeding, looks like a hole has formed. It comes and goes, it bleeds a lot of bright red blood with darker clots that he spits out. We can get it to stop after about 5 minutes of gargling warm salt water but the bleeding has started and stopped about three times so far today since 9 AM. DId go to the ER but the bleeding had stopped and said to come back if actively bleeding. Since the bleeding stops after a few minutes not sure if we should go back in?

Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, it may be bleeding due to infection and bad lesion that might rupture the micro vascular bed, ideally condition needs to be differentiate with another condition like bleeding disorders and severe infection if this is the bleeding then may requires medical attention to prevent the complication till then Vitamin C can be started 500 mg three times in day, with antibiotic like Tab Amoxicillin with Clavulanic acid twice in day, dose needs to be adjusted according to age and weight hope this information helps.
