How Can swelling And Soreness In The Arm Be Treated?

Hello. My friend is a 46 y/o white male. He was recently hospitalized for a torn bicep L arm which one of the diagnostic tests showed he has a blood clot in the neck in his jugular vein. He was released Sunday and pit on Zarelto 15mg bid, metroprolol, HCTZ, lisinopril, and another bp med that he can t remember the name of. Anyhow his L arm and hand are swollen, sore, and especially his middle, ring, and pinky fingers which look two toned they are reddish-purple up to the middle knuckles?

Cardiologist 's  Response
Hello,

Regarding your concern, I would explain that his symptoms could be related to the bleeding. Anyway, I recommend holding a compression band and wait, because his situation will improve in the next days. It is also necessary trying to move the fingers and hold the hand up, in order to improve venous drainage.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ilir Sharka,
