How Can ADHD Be Treated?

I am an adult and I have recently been given a prescription for Dextroamp-amphetamin. The dosage I was given is 10 mg. I have had 2 days of the medication, but there seems to be no change in my ability to focus and function properly. Is 10 mg twice a day (morning and noontime) the proper dosage for an adult?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
may be dosage is planned to increase gradually looking at how you are doing with tolerating the medication.

I would suggest you to consider other options of treatment that improve your ADHD symptoms like
cognitive behavioral therapy, counseling, mindfulness therapy, help to identify stress factors and steps to divert with your interests & hobbies like painting music dance and so on.
