Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi, Currently My ALT is 45 and in next 5 days i have to undergo a small medical examination in which i am sure Dr s will be explicitly looking at my LFT s. i have a Hepa B hitory but treated with entecavir0.5 mg for 48 weeks, ( in jan 2015). could you tell me how to lower ALT or at least it should be in limits for 5 days: What medicine i should use or how to control it??
As per your history let me clarify you that ALT means (Alanine Aminotransferase )and it is also called serum glutamic pyruvic transaminase (SGPT) and its normal value is 7 to 56 IU/L.So your value is 45 IU/L so it is normal level.(Thanks)
