How Can BP Be Regulated Long After Stent Placement?

I am a 68 year old black female. Last year I had to have a stent put in. I can t get my blood pressure regulated. My Cardiogist says for me to stop worrying about my blood pressure. It roller coasters some days. for example this week it was one day 105/83. later on that day it is 148/90. Today it is earlier 144/90, and in the last hour soared to 149/107. I just don t know what to do!

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

Consult a physician and get evaluated. Your blood pressure is not that much high. You have to start on antihypertensives like amlodipine or hydrochlorothiazide.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
