How Can GERD Be Treated?

I am female, 79, caucsian, have had GERD for at least seven years. I have treated the symptoms with probiotics, digestive enzymes and occasionally rolaids. Lately, I have been experiencing a feeling of less room in my larynx when I swallow and I think it looks like I used to be able to see my uvula easier. Does this sound like late term cancer of the esophagus? I am five feet tall and overweight, a retired nurse, and have over eaten on the run most of my life. Thank you.
