Hi,I am Dr. Alexander H. Sheppe (Psychiatrist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
i am sure i have bi-polar depression but my main worry is the effects of the depressive side as I struggle to come to terms with all the negative thoughts I have and being frightened to go out of the house as everything is a threat to me and I don't know where to turn next for help
If you do not have any history of manic episode, then there is no chance of bipolar depression. Then i will say, you have unipolar depression and need antidepressant treatment. With antidepressant, these negative thoughts and anxiety symptoms would decrease. Better to discuss about this with psychiatrist for proper diagnosis and management.
Thanks
