How Can I Help Someone Who Got A Vivid Nightmare That Led To Screaming And Complete Body Stiffness?

yesterday at night around 2.30 am my brother started shouting very loudly and his body became stiff...until i put on the lights of his room,. today morning when i asked him he replied that in his dreams he saw someone standing right behind hie bed. what is happening to him...how can we help him.
