Psychiatrist 's  Response
Hi
Thanks for writing to health care magic
The problem you are suffering is called OCD. (obsessive compulsive deisorder). In this disease there are recurrent intrusive thoughts which occur against your will and cause a lot of distress. You are getting tyhought that some body will make your room dirty repeatedly. The repeated acts you are doing like repeated cleaning are called compulsions. Consult a good psychiatrist. He will prescribe you antidepressants and anxiolytics in addition to offering psychotherapy in the form of /cognitive Behavioral Therapy, exposure response prevention and ohter techniques.
Thanks and regards

Hello,

The constant focus on dirt and cleaning most probably points to a possibility of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD). A more certain diagnosis would require a detailed assessment of all your symptoms, and/or a face-to-face evaluation.

Preoccupation with thoughts regarding cleanliness (i.e. obsessions) and repeatedly cleaning the room (i.e. compulsions) are common in OCD, and are associated with changes in certain chemicals in the brain. I can understand your feelings of worry and anxiety, but please be assured that this is an illness and has many treatment options. There are effective medicines available for OCD; also, psychotherapy has also been proven to be very helpful.

Please approach a psychiatrist immediately, and I am confident you will benefit from the treatment.

Warm regards,
