How Can I Remove The Hard Corn Off The Top Of Big Toe Which Is Reccuring From Several Years?

Hi,

I have been trying to remove a hard corn off the top of my big toe for several years and it will not go away. I eliminated all shoes that could possibly be causing it, but it is something that I have been struggling with for several years. I have tried over the counter products, a dermatologist, medicated creams and rubbing it away with a pumice stone. Nothing is permanent, and the over the counter products caused serious scarring. Please Help. Thank you

Hello,
Welcome to healthcare magic,
Occurrence of corn on the top of a toe is very rare. Usually it is seen over the under surface. I think that it might be a wart. Without an opportunity to closely examine the lesion, I would not be able to accurately specify the condition. You may ask me a direct query by clicking on this short url http://bit.ly/dr-j-chacko , where you have an option of uploading a picture of the lesion which will help a great deal in diagnosing the condition.
If it is a wart, you may cauterize it with electrosurgery. For that you need to see a dermatologist.
Hope this helped,
Take care.

Thanks for query on HCM.
Corn is always recurrent.
It requires surgical removal for permanent cure.
Take proper local care.
Wear proper footwear to correct the equal pressure on sole.
Go for investigations like cbc, fbs, ppbs to rule out underlying condition.
Consult surgeon for further guidance.
