How can I treat an ingrown hair instead of going to the doctors and getting it cut?

if they are in eye lids then visit to a doctor is he only answer. For rest you can't stop them from their basic nature but can prevent hurting with oil massage.

No pain no gain.
You have to go to a doctor if there are many such ingrown hairs.
if there are a few just pluck them out. shave daily. avoid shaving in the reverse direction.
